Vision

Eleanor Anderson Miles lived her life centered around her core values. These values guided Eleanor through her professional and personal life, informing how she related to others, extended support and kindness to her community, and led with a quiet strength that continues to impact all who knew her. Eleanor’s values became the pillars in which she lived her life; these pillars provided a blueprint for how to create change in her individual relationships and within her community at large.

The Eleanor Anderson-Miles Foundation’s mission is to provide financial support for an applicant who meets, is inspired, and motivated by the standards of the pillars set by Eleanor.

Pillar 1: Compassion

Eleanor believed in the power of compassion for all. She enjoyed learning about how compassion surfaced for people, how they accessed self-compassion, and what it meant to receive compassion from others.

Pillar 3: Family & Community Centered Care

Eleanor was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. She defined her success and joy in life by witnessing the impact of these relationships in her life and acknowledging the positive impact of nourishing and nurturing these relationships had on her.

Pillar 4: Ethics
